About Us

Welcome to Haitian Diaspora Organization

Haitian Diaspora Organization, herein referred to as HDO Community Center, is a 501c3, nonprofit, and social service community agency serving the Haitian Community since April, 2004

Haitian Diaspora Organization has progressively been providing support to our brothers and sisters in the Haitian community of Atlanta, GA, South Florida, and our motherland, Haiti since its inception. We intend to be wherever there are Haitian Minority Groups in need of our services.

We work with individuals, groups, and organizations to create an inclusive society strengthened and empowered by its diversity.

We have embarked on this journey to help improve the general stability and wellness of our community. Many people will benefit from our work especially the children and the elderly as they are most at risk, and they make up the largest number of clients we serve

We are very ardent in realizing our dreams of building a strong, united community based on the principles of fraternity, equality, justice, and peace for all. Until this is achieved, we will not stop rallying for our friends, our families, and our people.

Our Mission

The mission of Haitian Diaspora Organization [HDO Community Center] is to promote dialogue and respect among all cultures, religions, and races.

HDO Community Center is a 501c3, philanthropic, and social service agency in South Florida. We work with individuals, groups, and organizations to create an inclusive society strengthened and empowered by its diversity.

HDO Community Center aims at providing social aid services & support to all minority group members of our community.

Our Vision

Our vision for the community is to implement various educative programs that may improve people’s attitudes, understanding, and involvement to produce the basic social necessities that can improve their livelihoods.

We will make available our resources to aid victims of social oppressions, natural disasters, economic distress, and abuse. We firmly believe that it is time we bring a positive change for our community and for our Haitian friends, here and abroad.

As a nonpartisan human relations organization, we work to create a more just society. We strive for a community free from all forms of discrimination and/or prejudice, in which every person is treated with dignity and respect, regardless of race, faith, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, and physical or mental ability.

Haitian Diaspora Organization, Inc. [HDO Community Center] intends to do this work here in the United States, in Haiti, and wherever there are minority groups in need of our assistance.
